Level-based evolution

The most common path: reach a published level and confirm the evolution prompt. Beginner Loomians typically evolve around level 18, then again around level 34 into their final stage. Early wild lines can evolve much sooner — for example, bug lines that stage at single-digit levels — so check each species before you over-level past a stage you wanted to keep for a move.

When a Loomian hits the threshold mid-battle, evolution usually triggers after the fight ends. Have bag space and a clear party slot plan so you are not dismissing the prompt by accident.

Item and held-item evolutions

Some species refuse to evolve by level alone. Patterns include:

• Use an item from the bag on the Loomian (evolution stones, nuggets, crowns, and event items)
• Hold an item while leveling to a target level
• Trade or special NPC paths in rare cases tied to story or events

Famous community examples include lines that need a Copper Nugget for a late Metal evolution, or seasonal crowns for egg-dragon finals. Always verify the current item name in-game — event items rotate and outdated YouTube titles recycle expired materials.

Branched evolutions

Several families split into different finals based on conditions:

Bond and friendship-style paths

A minority of Loomians evolve when Bond is high enough and a level or location condition is met. Raise Bond through battles, walking, and care interactions rather than only Powerfruit spam. Bond is separate from Personality and Unique Points. Perfect UPs from Rally Ranch do not replace Bond requirements.

Soul Burst is not evolution

Soul Burst forms use Burst Crystals and battle transformations — they are not standard evolution stages. Read Soul Burst and Raid Battles when you need crystal farming. Do not waste level candy expecting a Soul Burst form to appear from a level-up prompt.

When to delay evolution

Delaying evolution is a real strategy:

• Move learning — some useful moves appear only on pre-evolved stages
• Stat curve — mid-stages can be easier to train for early theatres
• Size or mount timing — certain saddles or cosmetics target specific stages
• Trade value — collectors sometimes prefer unevolved gleamings

Evolution and training order

A clean pipeline for keepers:

1. Catch or rally the base form with good UPs and Personality — see Personality and UP

3. Train TP toward the final role using TP Training
4. Evolve at the planned level
5. Finish move tutors, held items, and Type Chart coverage checks

For story teams, evolve when the next Battle Theatre typing demands the final form’s STAB. For PvP, evolve only after the moveset plan is locked.

Event lines and reskins
