Loomian Legacy Field Capture Prep Guide

Field Capture is the next big catching system announced for Loomian Legacy with the Route 9 expansion. Instead of only battling wild Loomians in grass, trainers will see Loomians roaming the overworld and throw Capture Discs at them directly. Why Field Capture matters

Field Capture changes hunt pacing. Overworld Loomians are visible before you commit, which means:

• Route knowledge beats blind encounter spam — patrol paths and spawn clusters will matter
• Disc accuracy and inventory become core skills — missed throws that bounce back still cost attention
• Gleaming and Corrupt markers can show on overworld models with particles and proximity sounds
• Old routes will be reworked later to support Field Capture, not only Route 9

Hunters who already excel at Gleaming Hunting and Roaming Loomians will adapt fastest because they already track visual cues, bag prep, and boost timing.

Overworld Loomians — Wilds walk the field in addition to grass battles. Approach to engage with disc throws rather than only initiating a classic wild fight.

Favorite Discs hotbar — Up to three Favorite Discs can sit on a hotbar alongside your most recently used disc. Pre-favorite Ace, Adv., and event discs so you are not scrolling menus when a Field Gleaming appears.

Missed throws return — Discs that do not contact a Loomian return to inventory. That reduces waste versus sinking discs into empty space, but it does not remove the need to stockpile for long sessions.

Recent Captures menu — When your party is full, new catches go into a Recent Captures review list. Inspect stats, Personality, UPs, and ability before deciding which Loomians enter permanent boxes. This is huge for gleaming hunts — you can audit keepers without mid-route PC trips.

How Field Capture relates to roamers

Classic roaming Loomians use special music and 1/1024 tables today. Field Capture is a broader overworld catch layer for normal wilds plus gleaming/corrupt visuals.
